It has been proven that improperly trained volunteers usually break all the rules, try to work around the Chaplain, preach against the beliefs of other religious groups, deliberately try to win converts to their own Faith, and are easily manipulated by offenders. Our training helps these individuals understand and avoid pitfalls that could get the entire team removed from the institution.
Everyone completing our "Basic" Training Course will be certified by APMOA as a "Lay Prison Missionary". All those who complete the requirements to be recognized by APMOA as a "Certified Lay Prison Evangelist" will be so certified.
